There are three different play modes to keep your children interested:
- ·Perfect Play allows you to just strum along to each of the three built in songs. They will play automatically so it will look you’re playing only you won’t actually be doing anything! This mode is ideal for younger members of the family who will no doubt want to join in on the fun!
- ·Rhythm Play encourages you to build your skills by strumming in time to each of the three tunes. You control the guitar rhythm for each song.
- ·Freestyle Play is just what the name suggests! In this mode you get to create your own songs using majors, minors and sevenths chords just like a real guitarist! There are 30 chords to learn which leads you into more open-ended play. This mode will offer a great learning opportunity for would be musicians and it’s obviously the most useful and interesting of the three modes of a Paper Jamz guitar. As children get to used to the fret board part of the guitar in this mode, they’ll definitely pick up a thing or two about playing a real guitar!
You also have extra options on the Perfect and Rhythm Play modes where you can remove any of the accompanying vocals, drums and guitars of the songs so you can play along karaoke style!The graphics are awesome on all six versions – bright, cool and unique and there are volume controls as well as headphone/speaker jacks to keep parents happy by keeping things from getting too loud!

Each of the six styles of Paper Jamz guitars includes three different rock anthems programmed to play right out of the box. One hand goes on the guitar neck, which has graphics showing where your fingers should be placed and the other hand strokes across the printed strings! That’s all you have to do! In freestyle mode, you play the basic rock chords (major, minor, and seventh) by putting one, two or three fingers on a set of frets! You’ll then be able to play just about any rock song in the world! A booklet is included with illustrated instructions about the fingering patterns that you’ll need!
The Active Graphics Technology™ powering the Jamz guitar, uses circuit-embedded paper that activates simply by placing your finger on the surface. Even with this innovative technology in them, any Paper Jamz guitar is much cheaper than an actual electric guitar and it’s far easier to learn how to play.
But don’t try any air guitar moves! Your fingers must actually touch the surface for the capacitive touch technology to work! There’s a built-in speaker, and a headphone socket will allow you to connect to your headphones, or the special Paper Jamz Amp, or even external speakers.
